Sustainability
Celsa’s production model is based on recycling scrap metal to produce low-emission steel, a process that positions us as one of the leading drivers of an ecological and just transition within the steel industry. Since our inception, we have integrated sustainability throughout the entire value chain, establishing ourselves as a benchmark in the circular economy both nationally and internationally. Thanks to our ability to recover the by-products generated during steel production, and through collaboration with our network of suppliers, customers and other specialist partners, we ensure their recovery and reintegration into the production cycle. This approach reinforces our purpose: to give infinite lives to finite natural resources, driving a more efficient and responsible industrial model that is aligned with today’s environmental challenges.
Within this circular production model, Celsa Wire plays a key role in transforming recycled steel into high-quality galvanised wire, designed to offer a long service life and excellent resistance to corrosion. Thanks to efficient processes and advanced galvanising technologies, we are able to produce low-emission galvanised wire, in line with current industrial sustainability standards. This contribution makes Celsa Wire a key link in the recycled steel value chain, driving solutions that reduce environmental impact and reinforce the group’s leadership in the circular economy.
This commitment is clearly reflected in the data contained in the Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our galvanised wires, as well as in the EPDs for the wire rod manufactured by CELSA. These certifications provide rigorous and verifiable environmental information, reinforcing the transparency of our production model.
